Agentic CI/CD: Azure DevOps vs GitHub Agentic Workflows

Room 7Tue 12 May • 17:15–18:15Cloud & DevOpsIntermediate
GitHub's Agentic Workflows are positioned as the future of AI-powered software delivery. But what does "agentic CI/CD" actually mean once you strip away the keynote demos? And can Azure DevOps — often dismissed as the legacy option — play the same game? In this session, we compare Azure DevOps and GitHub Agentic Workflows through the lens of CI/CD, with special attention to how both connect to the wider developer flow: Boards or Issues, pull requests, approvals, traceability, and day-to-day team collaboration. This is not a migration story, and it is not a product pitch. It is a practical comparison of concepts, strengths, and trade-offs. We’ll look at where each platform is genuinely strong, where ideas from one ecosystem can be leveraged in the other, and where the differences actually matter in practice. Through concrete scenarios and demos, we’ll separate the marketing narrative from the engineering reality. You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of what agentic CI/CD means in practice, where it adds value, and how Azure DevOps and GitHub each support different parts of that story.
